I like building things people enjoy using.
I am Kia, a full-stack engineer in London, currently building in health tech at Second Nature. I grew up fascinated by technology and medicine, and software for healthcare turned out to be both. I love hard problems, and turning them into intuitive solutions.
I make things constantly, usually because something annoyed me first: an online co-operative card game set in a bakery, an app for pottery practice, a baking scheduler, a trip planner. And outside of writing software, I like to use my hands to make bowls, bread, and beanies.
I will absolutely cross the street to say hi to your dog.

I work end to end: user problem in, shipped product out. Recently I redesigned the onboarding experience, and 80% of users opted into the new flow. I also untangled billing, which saves over £8k a month in customer support costs alone.

Things I built because they annoyed me
A co-operative card game set in a bakery. An app for pottery practice. A baking scheduler. A trip planner. All of which started as something menial that irritated me until I built a solution.
